02 // Profile & Practice

Hi, I'm Doug, a UX Content Design Leader
based out of New York.

I’m a UX Content Leader who loves untangling chaotic, zero-to-one problem spaces.

Today at The Trade Desk, I lead a team of 14 UX'ers, content designers, and technical writers working at the frontier of our field: content design inside the AI model loop. We architect how autonomous co-pilots behave, how agents take turns, and how to quantitatively measure whether an AI assistant is genuinely solving user problems (Actionable Resolution Rate).

Before this, I built and led an 18-person content design org at Meta Reality Labs across San Francisco, Seattle, and London. We owned the system-level UX across Meta's VR hardware—including the Quest 2 and Quest Pro launches and company-defining initiatives like Meta Accounts.

My career started in storytelling and global creative direction at Vice Media, PlayStation, and Samsung Entertainment. That foundation in narrative craft, combined with deep systems architecture, shapes how I build teams: setting an uncompromising quality bar, giving people clear frameworks, and creating space for high craft and creative ambition.
